Moving house again! And back to Aussie...

Stunning autumn colours in the garden 🍁
Stunning sunset over Tasman

We settled back into Tahunanui Drive to enjoy an amazing autumn. Summer rolled in to a lovely dry autumn. Great for working around the garden, catching up on some small maintenance jobs around the house like the gable ends and window sills touched up, installation of a heat pump (that may be a blog post all on its own 😄).

We also came up with a new plan re selling Tosswill Road! Let's move back into it and it can stay on the market, and rent out Tahunanui Drive again. So that is what we have done. Poor Trevor dragged back to help with the shift, which B&T did in one day! Not bad for two Pensioners!

Well done B&T 🍻

Bill's Green Gremlin making the task of
gravelling easy
So before moving we had to make the parking area more serviceable for tenants as we are leaving the Bus up there in the lower parking bay, so we can grab it anytime in the future. This meant graveling the parking area as over winter it can get quite boggy. Hopefully the plan will work. And then Bill completed the heat pump installation just after we left. We tested it out, and it will be such a bonus on our return to take that chill off first thing in the morning rather than light the fire. I'm sure the tenants will appreciate it too.

Ready for tenant parking
Cycling to Rabbit Island

We didn't get a lot of cycling in, just the one trip out to Rabbit Island with John & Denise. And a day out paddling with the Kayak Club, in Diana's double that she kindly let us borrow. Lovely to catch up with some other old faces and a lot of new ones. We realised we were a couple of the oldest members of the club there. We all move on eventually. 😔

A good turn out to paddle Jackett's Island

We've also booked our flights back to Perth early July, at this stage one way as not sure what is happening with Babies. Rochelle had a bit of a scare with getting medevaced to Perth from her local hospital when they were a bit concerned about her high blood pressure and the baby's growth at 32 weeks. Enough to put anyone's blood pressure up at midnight and fly in a small plane along with the Paramedic and the Pilot. She is following in her mothers footsteps, in that I was 4 weeks in hospital with Toxemia  before having Shannon. Thankfully Rochelle isn't showing any signs of that, and with medication, they have got her blood pressure back under control.

We've also been seeing Joan at the weekends and taking her out to exciting places like the local cemetery!

Afternoon tea at the cemetery 😉
Heat pump up and running.

Matariki weekend was at the end of June, and we headed away to Golden Bay with V&T to enjoy the places we use to take the Kids every year camping. Lots of walks, lovely meal at Mussel Inn, a visit to Drew & Jana to pick up some gear for Rochelle's Baby.
Wainui Bay - no swimming this time of year!

And on that special day - Matariki - our second granddaughter was born in Perth. Lenny Tyler Zoccoli - a whooping 1.85kg (just over 4lb).
Mother and baby are doing well, so is Dad. Can't wait to get over there and have a cuddle. Also with our first granddaughter Ophelia too of course.💕💕
