Time to make plans as House has sold ๐ŸŽ‰

Cheers ๐Ÿป

Well, it finally happened! Two and half years after finishing the renovations of our rental at Tosswill Road, it finally sold! And all very quickly once the paperwork was completed. Now back to being homeless once again, with Tahunanui Drive rented till June 2025. Back on the road in the Bus ๐Ÿ˜€.

Those wonderful 4 letters!
We will miss this view in the kitchen ๐Ÿ˜
Everything fitted
into storage

Long suffering Trevor was roped in once again to help Bill move the bigger items. We moved as much as we could after having visitors come and stay for a couple of days, the week before settlement date. Bill's niece Davina & Malcolm and two of the children - Jasmin & Gabriel.

I then had my shoulder operated on (repaired my rotator cuff, which I damaged over a year ago when I broke my wrist), leaving Bill to finish the move and the cleaning and looking after me too. He did a great job. Fitting everything into the sleepout was a bit of a mission - a bit like a game of Tetris ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Timing of the sale wasn't great with Rochelle and Lenny due out from Australia for three weeks, but we're sure we will sort something. In the meantime, we'll head off in the Bus for a bit of R&R.

First meal after my operation.
No wine sadly ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Australia and three new Granddaughters

Just two of our Granddaughters - before Ophelia's sisters arrived
We flew from Nelson to Auckland, staying with Wayne and Kate, who dropped us off back at the airport the next morning. After our last trip over and cutting it fine to get through security, Sheryl wasn't taking any chances. We had a nice, relaxed coffee before heading through the security doors.
Lenny's first road trip - Perth to Home
We arrived in Perth late afternoon on the 4th of July, Nana Pat's 102nd birthday, Rochelle and Lenny were released from hospital today too. Daniel had picked them up from hospital earlier in the day. We all stayed with Cathy and Mark (Daniels parents). Lenny was doing well at only one week old, but she seemed so little at only 1.85kg. Rochelle was looking great, and very happy to be discharged from hospital after 5 weeks of worry.
Daniel & Rocky, Bill & I and Lenny, and a trailer load of firewood from Daniel's grandparents, headed off to Dunsborough the next day. Lenny traveled well with only one-stop on the way for a feed and a change of nappy.
Lenny's first weigh at home -
not too much flesh on her yet.
We caught up with Nick & Em and Ophelia later in the day. Em looking great with the twins growing well in her tummy. In the first few weeks of our arrival, there were a few midwife visits. Rocky had her midwife calling in to check on Lenny's weight gains and Em had hers checking on her pregnancy and the Twins growth. We did a lot of walks with Ophelia. Mostly between the 2 houses which took 40 minutes to walk the 1.15 km's. It was lovely listening to her chatting and singing us lots of nursery rhymes. Her other Grandmother, Leelee, has taught her well.
Biddy
having some cuddles.
We celebrated Rochelle's 36th birthday, a week after our arrival. It was the first time out with Lenny in her pram. Daniel was a bit concerned she would get upset while we were at the restaurant, but she slept the whole time we were out. Good girl Lenny, letting your Mum enjoy her lunch.
Bill did a trip to Perth with Nick for the day (6 hour round trip) to get more furniture for the twins before they arrived. These road trips are great bonding sessions for father and son.
Four days after Rochelle's birthday, I celebrated another birthday myself - my second one in Australia. Bill and I had lunch in Dunsborough just on our own as it was mid-week and with new baby / babies about to arrive / Dad's still working / and Ophelia still having mid-day naps, this was the easiest way to celebrate. It was lovely to be with two of my children and grandchildren. Sorry, Shannon, it's tough not celebrating with you too.
Bill & I kept busy doing odd jobs / cooking / washing, at the two homes. Trimming vines / painting above N&E's new door that went in on our last visit / re-working R&D's front door for better sealing. It was pretty wet once again, as their winters are, with lots of paddocks with surface flooding. So different to when we left in April where everything was so brown from the drought.
Hope Lenny is into Dinosaurs
like her mother ๐Ÿ’•
Kathy and Mark came down for the weekend to see their first grandchild, of course both besotted with Lenny. Nice for Mark to have something positive to focus on with all his ongoing health issues.
Proud new Parents
The night before Ophelia's sisters arrived - all is calm ๐Ÿ˜‰

Two and a half weeks after our arrival, and staying with N&E, Em came out in the morning after lots of back pain through the night. A plan was made for N&E to meet the midwife at Bunbury hospital (an hour away and where the medical professionals prefer the birthing of twins, rather than a home birth)- Em was 35 weeks pregnant. Em was sure she would be back home later that morning. The twins were born just before midday ๐Ÿ˜Š.
And then the Twins arrived - Em coping well๐Ÿ’•
Tulsi George (Tulli) was born at 11:47 - weighing 2.25kg and Lucia Cameron (Lulu) was born at 12:35 - weighing 2.48kg. Bigger than wee Lenny. Em certainly produces big babies but hides them well in her body ๐Ÿ˜‰. Both babies coped well at birth, Lulu needing a little oxygen to start with. Because they were 5 weeks early, their digestive systems weren't fully formed and needed a little help with nasogastric tube feeding. The twins were bottle feed (Em's breast milk in bottles to see exactly how much the Girls were taking in) but only every second feed as it's very exhausting for them to feed. So nasal feeding was done every other feed. Their little digestive systems are quite fragile, and the feeding regime full on every two hours to get the girls weights up.
Bill getting ready for his first hold with proud Dad Nick
We celebrated that evening at N&E's with Leanne & Steve, Rocky & Daniel and Lenny & Ophelia, who wasn't too worried her parents didn't come home. But unfortunately, that first night Ophelia was up all night (along with Biddy) with an ear and eye infection. It was off to the doctors as soon as we could the next morning, both Ophelia and Biddy knackered! And antibiotics for O. Nick returned home that night to give Ophelia some time and look after her that night. All three of us slept well.
Telling GrandBill a big story
Em and the twins were doing amazing, so Nick started coming home every second night for Ophelia. The hospital is well set up to have both parents staying, especially with twins. And with two sets of grandparents available, Ophelia coped very well without her Mummy.
Just checking on R&D's neighbours ๐Ÿ˜‚

Bill & I went and visited on day 3, with Ophelia. With the twins a similar size to Lenny, they weren't too much of a surprise to hold.
Em's sister Shanny and partner Oisin, live around the corner, were also dropping in and giving a helping hand with Ophelia. The days were very organised and went very smoothly.
Relaxing at R&D's - Nick keeping his distance ๐Ÿ˜ท
Not a lot of
room ๐Ÿ˜„
Until! Rocky and I headed out for a walk one morning with me pushing Lenny in her pram, when a dog came up behind and bit Rochelle in the thigh! As we couldn't find anyone home, or any neighbours, Rochelle rang the Dog Ranger. Two hours at A&E that afternoon to make sure Rochelle was not going to have any infection or complications with her recent Cesarean. Thankfully she was all up to date with her immunisations.  The Dog Rangers were fantastic and came around the next day for Rochelle and my statements. They take dog attacks very seriously, especially when it's on public land.  I was also concerned that it could have been Ophelia attacked as her and I walked past the property many times on our walks.  The Rangers then went on to visit the dog owners who were away at the time. They were very concerned and have implemented some safety measures to keep the dog under control. Plus, they received a fine of $400. So hopefully the dog will not be out again. It made Rochelle & I very nervous every time we went for walks past that property.
Leanne & Stephen took Ophelia back to Perth with them a week after the Twins births, to take the pressure off everyone juggling Ophelia and let N&E focus on the Twins and Bill & I help out at R&D's.
Saturday nights are a bit different now ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•
And the transport has changed too!
And not just the buggy - but also the car.
Cousins catching up ๐Ÿ˜‚
Lenny bored with the conversation.
But shortly after, Nick came down with COVID! And had to come home from hospital, leaving Em with the Twins in isolation in case they came down with it too. Thankfully they didn't. We visited daily at this stage to help Em with 1 or 2 of the feeds. Nasal and bottle feeds. The Nurses were very good, but like all public health systems, understaffed. Em was very organised and kept routine. She was amazing.
Meanwhile poor Nick thankfully didn't get too sick but had to stay isolated so felt a bit of an outcast.
The Olympics were full on at this same time, so it was a bit of a distraction from all the baby activities. Daniel had great delight in asking where the NZ medalists were, while watching all the Aussies collecting theirs.
Daniel's sister Carla, visited from Melbourne to see her niece for the first time. She got lots of cuddles and Lenny was given lots of clothes. And I had a night off cooking, thanks Carla.
With Ophelia up in Perth (still not really missing Mum and Dad, but they were certainly missing her), at two weeks old the Twins we're able to come home. With Nick still not allowed back at hospital, and Em more than capable of looking after her babies equally at home, four of the new family of five settled in at home.
An afternoon at the beach - we did see Whales too.

Ophelia came home the second night, still unfazed by all the attention of the twins. Quite happy in her own world. Except she did like her little finger to poke them every now and again.
We only had the one day at the beach with Ophelia while we were over this time as it was mostly too wet. The days were quite busy and with Ophelia still having mid-day sleeps, the days just disappeared.
Celebrating Rocky's birthday

Daniel was trying to fit in his surfing when he could around Lenny, and grandparents being available. I think life will be a little different in that house from now on.
Bill and Nick did another trip to Perth to pick up the new family car. A Kea Carnival, which will easily take 3 children's car seats and the grandparents. Very roomy. Now to sell one of the other two cars. Hopefully not the fun car Nick!
We did a 7 km walk to the lighthouse with Rocky, Daniel, Lenny, Steve, Bill and me. It's a lovely coastal walk, the whole path is sealed. Tried looking for whales, but difficult to see on that blustery afternoon.
Cape Naturaliste lighthouse walkway

We managed an afternoon at the local pub to wet the Twins heads with Steve, his sister, Kelliann, Shanny & Oisin, Rochelle & Daniel with Lenny. It seems a bit of a shame the poor mother can't be at these celebrations, but we tried to enjoy it for her too.
Ophelia with her new gloves helping Biddy

Bill, and I had a trip to Perth, returning with Steve and Leanne to their home to enable us to catch up with Bill's cousin Mark and wife Fiona for dinner. We returned to Dunsborough with the old family car that had been left at Steve and Leanne's. It will now be cleaned up and put on the market. Hope it sells quickly.
Another walk was from Meelup Beach to Eagle Bay and return, a 5 km walk. Rochelle & Daniel with Lenny in the front pack. We managed to see Dolphins, Whales, Seals and Surfers.
Nick always likes a project while we are over there, and I like Bill to be kept busy while I'm happy to cuddle babies and cook. The project this time was a hedge around the front lawn to make a nice area in the afternoon sun. It will make a lovely family front yard in time.
Cousins hanging out together - Tulli & Lulu not really interested.

By the 3rd of September, Lenny and Lulu's weights we're identical, with wee Tulli not far behind. All babies were gaining weight well.
Had a quiz night out with Shanny and Oisin at the local pub and the oldies knew a few answers to help come in third place.
Happy 2nd birthday Ophelia๐Ÿ˜˜

We celebrated Ophelia's second birthday at
With these two granddads
looking after Ophelia -
what could go wrong!๐Ÿ˜‚
home, which was busy enough with all the family and 3 new babies. Ophelia didn't seem to mind and enjoyed her special day.
Another walk from Canal Rocks to Wyadup Rock - a 5 km return part on the most scenic part of the Cape-to-Cape walkway with Rocky. Daniel stayed home with Lenny for this one.
We had a farewell lunch with Steve & Leanne, Nick & Em, Rocky & Daniel and our four granddaughters at Eagle Bay. Thankfully, nobody saw Ophelia's little mishap while under Daniel's supervision. The blood nose was a little giveaway, as was the bruise the next day. But Ophelia got over it pretty quick.
Lulu and Lenny chatting, while Mum gives Tulli cuddles

A day in Bunbury for Lenny to get her passport to come and visit New Zealand soon and to have her strawberry birthmark checked out by a pediatrician who said it wasn't of great concern and very common in babies. Hopefully that soothed Rochelle's concerns.

Our last night was fish & chips on the beach at Busselton before heading to Perth the next day with Rocky & Daniel and Lenny, ten weeks after our arrival.
Fish & Chips on our last night ๐Ÿ˜ช
Our last morning walk for this trip ๐Ÿ’•

We flew direct from Perth to Auckland, and onto Wellington where we had four lovely days to catch up with Shannon & AC.  Attending a local show, a Japanese festival, Doctor Who Exhibition, a walk to Marama Peninsular to Double Vision Brewery. A 13.5-kilometer walk and a well-deserved beer.
Onto home back in Nelson to wet and blustery conditions and settle back into Tosswill Road to do some gardens and maintenance up at Tahunanui Drive and plan our next adventure. Plus, our return to Dunsborough and our four beautiful Granddaughters. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

See you soon Lenny ๐Ÿ˜˜

Moving house again! And back to Aussie...

Stunning autumn colours in the garden ๐Ÿ
Stunning sunset over Tasman

We settled back into Tahunanui Drive to enjoy an amazing autumn. Summer rolled in to a lovely dry autumn. Great for working around the garden, catching up on some small maintenance jobs around the house like the gable ends and window sills touched up, installation of a heat pump (that may be a blog post all on its own ๐Ÿ˜„).

We also came up with a new plan re selling Tosswill Road! Let's move back into it and it can stay on the market, and rent out Tahunanui Drive again. So that is what we have done. Poor Trevor dragged back to help with the shift, which B&T did in one day! Not bad for two Pensioners!

Well done B&T ๐Ÿป

Bill's Green Gremlin making the task of
gravelling easy
So before moving we had to make the parking area more serviceable for tenants as we are leaving the Bus up there in the lower parking bay, so we can grab it anytime in the future. This meant graveling the parking area as over winter it can get quite boggy. Hopefully the plan will work. And then Bill completed the heat pump installation just after we left. We tested it out, and it will be such a bonus on our return to take that chill off first thing in the morning rather than light the fire. I'm sure the tenants will appreciate it too.

Ready for tenant parking
Cycling to Rabbit Island

We didn't get a lot of cycling in, just the one trip out to Rabbit Island with John & Denise. And a day out paddling with the Kayak Club, in Diana's double that she kindly let us borrow. Lovely to catch up with some other old faces and a lot of new ones. We realised we were a couple of the oldest members of the club there. We all move on eventually. ๐Ÿ˜”

A good turn out to paddle Jackett's Island

We've also booked our flights back to Perth early July, at this stage one way as not sure what is happening with Babies. Rochelle had a bit of a scare with getting medevaced to Perth from her local hospital when they were a bit concerned about her high blood pressure and the baby's growth at 32 weeks. Enough to put anyone's blood pressure up at midnight and fly in a small plane along with the Paramedic and the Pilot. She is following in her mothers footsteps, in that I was 4 weeks in hospital with Toxemia  before having Shannon. Thankfully Rochelle isn't showing any signs of that, and with medication, they have got her blood pressure back under control.

We've also been seeing Joan at the weekends and taking her out to exciting places like the local cemetery!

Afternoon tea at the cemetery ๐Ÿ˜‰
Heat pump up and running.
Milnthorpe

Matariki weekend was at the end of June, and we headed away to Golden Bay with V&T to enjoy the places we use to take the Kids every year camping. Lots of walks, lovely meal at Mussel Inn, a visit to Drew & Jana to pick up some gear for Rochelle's Baby.
Wainui Bay - no swimming this time of year!

And on that special day - Matariki - our second granddaughter was born in Perth. Lenny Tyler Zoccoli - a whooping 1.85kg (just over 4lb).
Mother and baby are doing well, so is Dad. Can't wait to get over there and have a cuddle. Also with our first granddaughter Ophelia too of course.๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

A wedding & an extended summer in Australia (March/April)

๐Ÿ’– Nick & Em's Wedding ๐Ÿ’–
We left Nelson early March to have a couple of nights in Auckland before heading over to Perth. Staying with Wayne & Kate, it was a lovely catch up as always plus the added bonus of catching up with Simon & Nicki and Girls (who were in Auckland to see Pink) as they were staying with W&K too - Hotel Nicholas. Wonderful hospitality.
Cape Leeuwin (Augusta) -
where the Southern & Indian Oceans meet
Our Air New Zealand flight since booking was pushed out by one hour and changed to another carrier - WAMOS. A Spanish airline Air New Zealand contract out their Ak to Perth route over the summer as they don't have enough planes! Although their English was a little hard to understand at times, their service was very good and best of all, the pilot knew how to get to Perth. Phew!
Granny's Pool - with Granny ๐Ÿ˜„

Previously, we found the 8 hour flight over and then the 3 hour car trip down to the Kids in Dunsborough (Margaret River) too long a day. So this trip we made arrangements to stay with Daniel's parents Cathy & Mark, in Perth. We had a couple of nights with them before heading south. It also gave us the opportunity to have a day in Perth just meandering around. A little bit of shopping, bite of lunch and then a 7km stroll back to their place. Which was great to stretch our legs.
Our first afternoon at Eagle Bay
One of our many trips to the beach ๐Ÿ’—
Em's mum Leanne brought us down to Dunsborough the next day as she regularly travels down from Perth to Nick & Em's on Sundays so she can look after Ophelia on Mondays while Em works. Plus the added bonus of cooking them their dinner
Leanne dropped us off at Rocky & Daniel's, just a 3 minute drive from Nick & Em's. As we had all caught up at Christmas, it was very easy to pick up from where we were then. Ophelia had no trouble remembering us. Mind you the phone and face timing keeps us in great contact.
Some of my Boys - Daniel, Bill & Nick
Our first week with R&D was full of daily swims , walks & bikes rides. N&E have spare Cruiser bikes that we borrowed for the duration of the trip. Dunsborough is very flat and with only a ten minute bike ride between the two houses, it made it very easy to get back and forth between them. Very handy to see Ophelia and spend lots of time with her. Helping out when Em was working or had appointments. Since our last blog Em & Nick have found they are having twins. What a shock to them both, especially Em. Explains why she has been feeling so sick this pregnancy.
Daniel's new swing with Nick, Rocky & Bill
And since our last trip over, Daniel has done a lot of work in their garden- including building a wonderful swing. Bill & I spent quite a bit of time on it. I'm hoping I might get one built in our garden one day ๐Ÿคž. The garden had come a long way since we last saw it in September 2022, but there was very little sign of the lush green grass that had covered the ground after a very wet winter. This time of year, South Western Australia was suffering from drought conditions, and Daniel wasn't wasting money on watering the lawns. The ground turns into a sand pit pretty quick. N&E do spend a bit to keep their lawns green, which is lovely for Ophelia to play on. Not as prickly as  Zio's (Uncle in Italian).

Changing Baby's
nappies

We headed down south for 5 days in a rental car while the weather was still warm enough down there for swimming.  We we're down that way 5 years ago in December 2018, but it was too cold to swim. This trip was perfect timing as the days weren't too hot and there weren't too many visitors. Just a lot of grey nomads like ourselves. I loved Granny's Pool, so sheltered from big waves with a reef, so beautiful and clear, Flinders Bay near by was as beautiful. Easier to walk to from our accommodation. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to eat at. We went to the Colour Patch for dinner one evening, where we meet an interesting couple near the end of the evening, Adrian & Michael. Michael was very affectionate to Bill, his wife was as drunk as he was, so it was a bit hard to make much conversation. The bar staff called out to us as we were leaving to make sure we were ok. I think they were concerned for Bill.๐Ÿ˜‚ Nothing like a little holiday romance, is it Bill?
Story time with GrandBill before bedtime ๐Ÿ˜
Campsite at Hamlin Bay
Easter we went camping at Hamelin Bay with R&D and N&E&O, and Em's sister Shannon & partner Oisin. Hamelin Bay was only an hour south of Dunsborough, also with beautiful beaches, particularly Boranup, where Daniel loves surfing. This time of year camping in NZ we have quite heavy dews at night but over here it stayed lovely and dry. Also there were no issues with critters with leaving food out at night. Unbelievable! We took the 4wd track down onto the beach one of the days. What a ride! Just shut my eyes a couple of times.
Playing Petanque while Daniel surfs
Nick followed us in with his Toyota FJ Cruiser (he calls this his fun car, not really practical for three little girls later in the year ๐Ÿ˜†)  and although he's less experienced than Daniel,  managed ok. Poor Ophelia and Em - all shaken up. But apparently Ophelia enjoyed it  . Unfortunately Daniel's vehicle threw a tyre off it's rim coming out and his poor clutch did a bit of a burn out. A few dollars in repairs coming up!
Oh, Oh! Changing tyres
The large camping ground reminded us of the European camp grounds in Italy and Spain.  In that there is no grass! Just bare land (sandy) and lots of trees for shade. Not sure how solar panels work over here!
Ophelia's Playhouse
Easter Bunny was a bit of a failure this year - who knew none of them were keen on marshmallow eggs? I had taken the marshmallow eggs over as I thought they would be best to travel. Cadbury make NZ Easter eggs & bunnies in Australia and send them to NZ - and much to Bill's disgust, I buy them and post them back to the Kids in Australia. The NZ chocolate is different as in Australia they add something stop them melting so quickly. And Rocky & Nick don't like the flavour. So........ this year I took over marshmallow eggs that weren't really appreciated. They wanted the hollow Bunnies. Might be time for Easter Bunny to give up!๐Ÿ˜•
Another day at Eagle Bay
Wednesdays, Nick works from home to enable Em to work but his work is very flexible. We looked after Ophelia in the mornings for him to get his work done and then early afternoons, after her sleep, we could head off to more stunning beaches - Eagle Bay being a favourite. Lots of fun with Ophelia and her little legs running in and out of the water.  She doesn't tire  easily. We were trying to help her sleep through the night for her parents.  But we didn't have much success.
After her swimming lesson
with Daddy
Ophelia had weekly swimming lessons and over the 7 weeks we were there, her confidence in the water just kept improving. And now wearing goggles, loves being able to see everything under the water, hopefully she keeps remembering to pop her head up to take a breath.
We visited the Mens Shed / Lions Shed to stock up on books and bits and pieces. For $10 we picked up Henrietta, a cute wee rocking horse for Ophelia. I thought her parents would make me return it, but she seems to have made a new home ๐Ÿ˜‚. And amazingly a couple of weeks later, I found her twin at the Bussleton Lions Shed, in a slightly poorer condition. But her electronics were working.
Downtime in the kitchen

She whinnied and clip clopped. The challenge is now with Nick to get Henrietta's electronics working too. Can't wait to see her on our return. I didn't know Ophelia already had a very flash rocking horse that had been stored away. Perhaps Henrietta might find her one day ๐Ÿ˜‰
Rocky painting her new unit

Rocky was looking for some storage / dresser for her & Daniel's wee one, so we were keeping our eyes open. One week we found the perfect unit, only problem was it was bright red. Not a problem to Rocky and her sidekick Bill. They dismantled it and Rocky painted it a lovely forest green - perfect.
The latest Tyler Family๐Ÿ’
The beautiful Couple๐Ÿ’•
Nick & Em had talked of getting married back in 2020, but unfortunately Covid put an end to that. Then as time went on and Ophelia came along, the wedding was put on hold till later. But now Ophelia's sisters are coming along, it was time to get married so they could all be under the one Family name.
Cutting the cake
(No smooshing)
It was all organised in a short planning period, N&E planned their day, found a venue, a celebrant and a caterer. Em's sister Shannon & Irish partner Oisin, are currently living in Dunsborough too, so they helped make up the wedding party along with Em's parents Leanne & Stephen, Rocky & Daniel and ourselves. Sadly Shannon and AC weren't there, but will be there after the Babies are born later in the year. Shannon was able to watch from her office in Wellington. N&E found a  Airbnb one hour south, with two houses on the property so we were all able to stay for two nights and celebrate with them. It was wonderful, sorry you weren't there in person S&A. Ophelia was gorgeous of course in her beautiful dress Nene (Leanne) made, in her wee boots. The Twins were there too if you look hard. It was a beautiful wedding, lots of love.๐Ÿ’•
Bill & Daniel installing new door
Bill was also kept quite busy the last three weeks of our trip with installing a door and frame into both Rocky and Nick's homes. Rocky & Daniel had a spare room off their bedroom they are to use as the nursery but it had no door. So Bill & Daniel and a little help from Gido, put up a metal door frame into the brick surround and fitted a new door. I put up curtains after Bill put up the new rail. The Nursery was almost complete by the time we left.
Nick & Bill building
new door frame
And then at Nick & Em's, they had decided on a door to be installed in the large hallway to separate the bedrooms and Em's Office from the living area. All a bit of a rush to get the Tasmanian Oak door and frame made in time before our departure. Phew! Bill & Nick got it installed and stained before we left. Both door installations a new experience for Bill into brick walled homes, no timber framing here.
Morning tea time on Zio's swing
We also had a couple of fun nights out with Em's sister Shannon and Oisin at the local pub competing in the local quiz night. Rocky & Nick joined us in the last night we attended, and although we had the biggest team on the night, our team won the $100 bar tab. What a way to go out on a high ๐Ÿ‘.
Door finished

Rocky's unit and the door finished

Rocky took the Friday off to drive us up to Perth on our last night and organised for us to stay in a hotel for the night. It was a lovely relaxed evening walking around Perth waterfront and having a lovely Thai meal. The next morning after a bit of shopping (finally got my sheepskin slippers - the last Aussie pair lasted 5 years, hope these ones do too), we headed into Fremantle for lunch at Little Creatures.
Beautiful Quindalup Beach 9am
After a sad farewell to Rocky ( no tears sort of....) we caught the train back into Perth while Rocky drove 3 hours home. The afternoon went quickly in the sun with a nice cold beer before catching a taxi to the airport for our flight home. Another great trip. Will return again soon, hopefully before the next grandchildren arrive.
