The Loose Plan presently: Has us shifting into the apartment(bolt hole) on the weekend of  August 2nd, then progressively packing the house contents away, selling unneeded stuff at a garage sale the weekend of 9th August. This also entails me emptying the container of building stuff to create space. We will also be selling the CRV at the bottom of the drive at this point
If you want stuff let me know!!
Talking of the drive, spent the last weekend on a tractor with a back blade making pig rootings. It did actually come together and look presentable on Sunday evening when i finally switched off the compactor at 5pm, much to the neighbours relief. Have had some more gravel delivered 2day ,will take 2morrow morning to compact and hopefully the Drivemaker man will asphalt late this week or early next,(before it rains & washes away again.)
We've been catching up with friends etc. saying some farewells and generally bowing out of the Nelson scene, with the Canoe club where Sheryl has been Treasurer for some time , likewise Nanac. This is a small group of residents formed many years ago in response to a plan to have freight jets landing in the small hours at Nelson to take fruit etc. to other centres. It was a noise issue, the group has a seat on the the airport management meetings which has been a good check for the community
.
Simon & Nicki look as though they may take Rowdy as the brewery cat, This sounds idyllic and if I believed in reincarnation would seem a sweet deal.
This is Nic's feigned attention for Rowdy, he probably would've liberated her into the hills behind the Hutt Valley!!Not to mention Rowdy's inane fear of vacum cleaners, especially if Nic was wielding it.

It seems likely we will be in Christchurch for up to 6 weeks from Sept1st, renovating Pacific Rd readying it for sale. As mentioned earlier Sheryl has 3 weeks work for a Tyre Co. that is associated with her (soon to be ex) employer here in NN.
After the renovation we will move to any where we can get employment,so will be putting feelers out whilst in CHCh.
I envisage a small kitchen renovation at Arthurs Pass or similar, in reality cleaning the ablutions block at Kumara Junction.
We will see what comes.
